Manchester United have finally made the official bid to RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko.
Manchester United have officially entered the race for Benjamin Sesko by submitting a formal bid to RB Leipzig on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The Red Devils have tabled an €85 million package in an attempt to lure the highly-rated Slovenian striker to Old Trafford.
Sesko has been a hot property this summer, attracting strong interest from both Manchester United and Newcastle United. The Magpies had already made two previous offers, the latest being around €90 million. However, despite Newcastle’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season, Sesko is reportedly leaning towards a move to Manchester.
Sources close to the player suggest that Sesko is keen on joining United, even though the club will not feature in European competition in the upcoming campaign. The striker is believed to be enticed by the long-term vision at Old Trafford and the opportunity to become a central figure in the club’s rebuild.
United’s bid is seen as a strategic move to rival Newcastle’s advances, and while RB Leipzig have not yet responded, a decision is expected soon.
