The English centre back has officially signed a new five-year deal to commit his future to Manchester City.

The Englishmen’s previous deal was due at the end of the following season. The new agreement keeps him until the summer of 2026 with the footballing giants.
City director of football Txiki Begiristain had earlier satiated by saying “John has been an important part of our recent success and we believe he can continue to help us achieve our goals, so for him to commit his best years to us is a major boost for the club.”

John Stones who joined City five years ago from Everton secured himself a contract renewal to the City Football Academy following his UEFA EURO 2020 run to the final of the tournament with the Three Lions. He was able to maintain his club form and delivered a very solid performance along with his English teammate and club rival Harry Maguire.
The 27-year-old was brought to Manchester City under the management of Per Guardiola in his first season in charge of the club. Stones were put straight into the action against Sunderland for his debut. He played 41 games in his first season scoring 2 goals.
Since then Stones has gone on to make 168 appearances winning three Premier Leagues, two League Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields.
“The success we’ve had in the last four years has been incredible. To be a part of it has been a dream come true and I just want to continue winning,” said John stones.
