Chelsea forward João Pedro has heaped praise on teenage sensation Estêvão Willian, tipping him to follow in the footsteps of Brazil star Vinícius Júnior.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Pedro highlighted Estêvão’s natural talent and street football roots: “You can see he’s from the streets! He’s natural… also Tosin said to me: João, wow bro. Estêvão is amazing!”
The 18-year-old winger, who is already representing both Brazil and Chelsea, has been compared to Real Madrid’s Vinícius for his flair and fearless style of play. Pedro is confident his compatriot is destined for greatness: “Playing for Brazil and Chelsea at 18, oh my God… he’ll become like Vini Jr in future.”
Both Pedro and Estêvão are part of Chelsea’s setup this season, and the Blues faithful will be eager to watch the young Brazilian develop into one of world football’s brightest stars.
