After Liverpool’s draw at the Etihad on Sunday, Jordan Henderson confessed that the Premier League title race is in Manchester City’s hands.
Liverpool’s captain noted after the 2-2 draw versus City yesterday that there were “mixed emotions,” according to Anfield Watch’s Twitter feed.
“We wanted to come in and win so that the next seven games would be in our hands. Unfortunately, it isn’t, and it is now in the hands of the city “Henderson stated.
“Mixed feelings since we needed three points, but we dug deep and didn’t lose the game, which is also crucial. “We have to focus on the positives and move on to the next game.”
” At this level and scale, it’s going to be a tight game, and it already has been. We should have gotten off to a better start, but to be honest, I think we kept going and went behind twice before coming back.
” That is extremely encouraging and demonstrates wonderful character to persevere in the face of adversity. But, at the same time, we can improve, particularly with the ball. I thought it wounded them when we played football, and that’s where the goals came from.”
