Sergio Aguero retires from professional football at the age of 33. The player took this hard decision due to a heart condition. ” My health comes first. The 33-year-old announced his retirement during a press conference in tears. The player told that he always dreamt of playing football since he was five years old. He thanked the teams he played for, “I want to share my gratitude to everyone, regardless of where I’ve played…Atletico Madrid…Manchester City…Barcelona,” reported Barcelona official page.

Barcelona striker was brought into La Liga by the Spanish club in May 2021 from the Premier League club Manchester City where he had an incredible career. The striker could only play five games for Barca. He was hospitalised on October 30, his last game where he complained about chest discomfort after being substituted.
The football fraternity pays tribute to Aguero. “You have all our support…we wish you all the best, Sergio,’ said Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
Barcelona’s rival club Real Madrid also paid tribute to the player and said that it was an honour to compete against a player like Aguero, “one of the best players in the world,” and wished him luck via their official page.
