Liverpool’s midfielder Harvey Elliott will now be playing for Aston Villa as the deal agreed between the clubs on the deadline day. This is a loan deal plus obligation to buy for €35 million package fee. After the deal collapsed for Lucas Paquetá few days back, it was Elliott who were their second choice midfielder.

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott on deadline day, securing the youngster on a loan deal with an obligation to buy for a fee worth €35 million.

The young man was identified as Villa’s alternative target after their move for Lucas Paquetá collapsed earlier this week. Manager Unai Emery pushed for midfield reinforcements, and Elliott emerged as the second-choice option, with negotiations accelerated in the final hours of the transfer window.

Elliott, who made significant progress under Jürgen Klopp at Anfield, now heads to Villa Park in search of more regular first-team opportunities. His creativity, energy, and versatility are expected to bolster Villa’s midfield options as they look to maintain their push in both domestic and European competitions this season.
