On Thursday, Leicester play-maker and ringer winger Harvey Barnes has officially signed his contract extension which keeps him at Leicester City until 2025. Harvey Barnes aged 23, had spent his entire football career with Leicester City after joining their youth academy back in 2007. Since joining and forcing his way into the club’s senior first-team, the talented English attacker has gone in to feature in 101 matches in all competitions, contributing directly to 36 goals along the way.

The 23-year old English international attacker has been one of the best players for Leicester City in the 2020-21 season by scoring 13 goals and giving away many assists before a late injury ruled him out of the European Championship. He proves to be a vital player for the Foxes in the upcoming future with his strength, agility and cool temperament.

Leicester City officially announced the contract extension of Harvey Barnes on Twitter “Leicester City Academy graduate Harvey Barnes has signed a new four year deal with the club, keeping him at King Power Stadium until June 2025”.

Harvey Barnes in his recent press conference told: “I’ve been here for so many years now, it feels like home.” He also later added “For me, it was a no-brainer. Of course, I wanted to extend my stay here.” In an attempt to retain the services of their impressive wide-man, the Foxes have managed to successfully renew the 23-year old’s contract. He has been with Leicester City since he was 9, joining the academy and then later getting promoted to the first team.

Barnes made his debut for England to get victory over Wales in a friendly game which was played last October and proves to be a young sensation for Gareth Southgate’s side. With his deal extended until 2025, Harvey Barnes is expected to continue his impressive rise in England’s top-flight and could even become a Premier League star soon.

Leicester won their opening match against Wolves by 1-0 and will play West Ham on away on Monday.
