Harry Kane, one of the prolific strikers in the Premier League who attracted many clubs this summer, especially the last season’s Premier League Champions and UEFA Champions League runners-up Manchester City, has been named in Tottenham’s squad for the Europa League Conference play-off match. Tottenham Hotspurs is going to face Pacos de Ferreira in the play-off match on Thursday.
The English striker didn’t play against Manchester City in their first Premier League match. Despite missing their first-team striker, Tottenham won against the Champions of the 20/21 season by 1 goal to nil. Nuno Espirito’s side performed very well in their first match. Heung-Min Son scored the only goal which secures 3 points for the hosts.
Throughout this summer transfer window, Harry Kane has been the main target for Manchester City. Harry also seems interested in this move. As he didn’t face the side (Manchester City) in the first match, it was highly speculated that Harry Kane would now join City. But the fans were surprised to see Harry’s name in Tottenham’s squad for the Europa League Conference tie.
When Tottenham’s new manager, Nuno Espirito Santo was asked about Kane’s situation in the post-match interview to Footballdaily, he said,” “Harry is one of the best players in the world, so we are very lucky to have him. Harry worked this morning, is preparing himself and when he is ready he will join the group and help the team.”
