After a transfer saga that dragged on for over 40 days, Manchester United have finally struck a deal with Brentford to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo. The two clubs have reached a full agreement, with the total package valued at €71 million — €65 million to be paid upfront and an additional €6 million in performance-related add-ons.
While Mbeumo is yet to undergo his medical and the official announcement remains pending, the agreement between the clubs marks a major breakthrough. United have been pushing hard to secure the 24-year-old, who impressed last season with his pace, versatility, and attacking output in the Premier League.
Mbeumo’s arrival is expected to add much-needed depth and dynamism to Manchester United’s forward line, which has struggled with inconsistency in recent campaigns. The Cameroonian international had long been on Erik ten Hag’s radar, and the club remained persistent despite Brentford’s reluctance to let go of one of their star players.
