Real Madrid have won the FIFA Club World Cup game against RB Salzburg which was played this morning (IST). This was a brilliant game for Xabi Alonso as he gets his second victory as manager of Madrid. The club has also topped the Group H with 7 points from 3 games, leaving behind Al Hilal on 5. Both these teams have been qualified for the knockout stages of the competition.

A convincing 2–0 victory secured their second group-stage win under the management of Xabi Alonso, who is now off to a flying start in his spell at the helm.

The goals came courtesy of Vinícius Júnior and Federico Valverde, Vinícius striking first after a dazzling individual run and later providing the assist for Valverde’s goal just before half-time.

While Salzburg pressed for a comeback after the break, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made key saves to preserve the clean sheet, and Gonzalo García added gloss with a sublime third goal in the 84th minute.

With this victory, Real Madrid finishes Group H unbeaten on 7 points (2 wins, 1 draw), topping the group and comfortably edging out Al Hilal, who trail on 5 points. Both teams progress to the round of 16, but Madrid’s triumph ensures a top-seed matchup. The win also marks Xabi Alonso’s second triumph in just three games since taking charge .
