After having a great summer transfer window under master Xavi, Barcelona funds seemed to be deprived due to the signings of various stars from the different leagues. In effect of these signings, Barcelona has decided to sell their 24.5% of Barca studios to Orpheus Media for 100 million euros; all of this to generate funds for incoming transfers.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared this official information via his Twitter handle, he wrote, “Barcelona have sold 24.5% of Barca studios to Orpheus Media for 100 million euros as they are now set to activate the 4th lever. This is Barca’s plan to register the new signings and then proceed with another deal as Marcos Alonso, agreed with Chelsea/player one week ago.”

Earlier in the summer transfer window, Barcelona signed various players to make their squad formidable. Also, due to low funds, they sold some of the assets from Barca studios. However, now it seems that Blaugrana funds are shrinking again and to continue their signings they have decided to activate the 4th lever to proceed with the deal with Chelsea player Marcos Alonso and also to make some other signings.

Last year, Barcelona had to bid adieu to their greatest player of all time Lionel Messi due to low funds as they could not pay his fees. Moreover, it cost Barca camp an inadequate season but later on, when boss Xavi took control their campaign saw a ray of hope.

This season Spanish club have made purchases like Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Raphinha, and many more star players as Xavi knows the importance of good players in the team. Also, Barca wouldn’t want to make the same mistake they made last year; leaving their key players just to hold the funds. Moreover, Xavi is making sure that the team performs in every department for which he has cashed out these players at a cost of losing assets from Barca funds.
