Mauricio Pochettino has spoken on managerial things and clubs he could choose for coaching. The current USA men’s football team manager spoke about his tactics and gameplay and how his features doesn’t suit clubs like Barcelona.

USA men’s national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino has shed light on his managerial philosophy and the clubs he could see himself coaching in the future. The Argentine tactician, who previously managed Tottenham Hotspur, PSG, and Chelsea, was candid about his style of play and the cultural factors that influence his decisions.

When asked about the possibility of coaching Barcelona, Pochettino was clear in his stance:

“Even if Barça made an offer; I’d never coach them. With my tactics, I could coach them, but I’d never do that. In my view, Espanyol is way more independent and way more Catalan club than Barcelona.”

Pochettino’s loyalty to Espanyol, where he spent several years as both player and coach, has often defined his relationship with Barcelona, their fierce city rivals.

On the other hand, when quizzed about a potential future at Real Madrid, Pochettino left the door open:

“It’s never too late if the joy is worth it.”
