Christian Eriksen isn’t happy at Manchester United as he wants more playing time rather than sitting on the bench. Eriksen was bought by Ten Hag last to last transfer window and he was brought in to develop the midfield. However as Casemiro, McTominay, and youngster Kobbie Mainoo are doing great in midfield position, Eriksen isn’t getting any chances as competition has risen up.
Christian Eriksen’s time at Manchester United is questioned as the Danish midfielder voices his unhappiness over a lack of playing time. Signed by manager Erik ten Hag during the previous transfer window with the intention to bolster the midfield, Eriksen finds himself sidelined in this stiff competition of midfielders in the squad.
The emergence of Casemiro, Scott McTominay, and rising star Kobbie Mainoo has limited Eriksen’s opportunities on the field. Despite being brought in to develop the midfield, the seasoned playmaker has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup, primarily due to the impressive performances of his counterparts.
Expressing his frustration, Eriksen revealed his concerns about his role at Manchester United. Speaking to Tipsbladet, he disclosed, “I’ve had a talk with Erik ten Hag about being unhappy right now…and want to play as much as possible.” His desire for regular game time is for his aspiration to contribute consistently and play a significant role in the team’s long-term plans.
