Manchester United have played well in their last night’s game against Arsenal. United who are on 14th place in the table stood well against 2nd place Arsenal. United were leading at the half-time following a beautiful free-kick from captain Bruno Fernandes. However, the goal was cut down by Declan Rice in the second half. United did have a chance to clinch the victory but closely missed out thanks to David Raya’s acrobatic saves. Arsenal have again dropped points as they are now 15 behind leaders Liverpool.
Manchester United put in a strong performance last night as they held title-chasing Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Despite sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table, Amorim’s men showed resilience against Mikel Arteta’s high-flying Gunners, who are currently second.
United took the lead just before half-time through a stunning free-kick from captain Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder’s strike curled past David Raya, giving the hosts a deserved advantage at the break. However, Arsenal responded in the second half, with Declan Rice finding the net to level the score.
United had a golden opportunity to secure all three points, but Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya produced a series of brilliant saves to deny them. His acrobatic stops ensured the Gunners avoided defeat, but they will be disappointed to have dropped points yet again. The result sees Arsenal fall further behind in the title race, now trailing leaders Liverpool by 15 points.
