Manchester United have been knocked out by Fulham FC on Sunday late night and it was again a disappointing result for Ruben Amorim’s side. Fulham won on penalties following Bruno Fernandes’ equaliser in the game in the second half. United were behind since the start and the penalty miss from Lindelof and Zirkzee confirmed their exit from the Emirates FA Cup.
Manchester United’s FA Cup journey came to a disappointing end on Sunday night as they were knocked out by Fulham on penalties. The Red Devils, under Ruben Amorim, struggled once again, failing to assert dominance in a crucial knockout tie.
United trailed early in the match and only found their way back through Bruno Fernandes, who netted an equalizer in the second half. However, despite pushing for a winner, they couldn’t break down a resilient Fulham defense.
With the game locked at 1-1 after extra time, the tie went to penalties. Unfortunately for United, both Victor Lindelöf and Joshua Zirkzee missed from the spot, sealing their fate. Fulham capitalized on the errors, booking their place in the next round while United were left to reflect on another disappointing cup exit.
This result adds to the growing concerns under Amorim, who has struggled to find consistency with his squad.
