Marc André ter Stegen has officially announced that he won’t be leaving Barcelona as the goalkeeper is set to undergo surgery for his back injury. The rehabilitation period will be 3 months, and thus, in this mean time he will remain sidelined from football.
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has officially put an end to speculation regarding his future by confirming that he will not be leaving the club. The German shot-stopper is set to undergo surgery to address a persistent back injury, which will sideline him for approximately three months.
Ter Stegen, who has been a key figure for the Catalan giants since joining in 2014, shared an update on his condition through an official statement. “Physically and athletically, I feel in very good shape, although unfortunately I am not free from pain. Don’t worry, I’ll be back,” he said, reassuring fans of his recovery and return.
The surgery is aimed at resolving ongoing discomfort that has limited his availability in recent weeks. While the recovery period means he will be absent from action for the foreseeable future, his commitment to Barcelona remains firm.
