Deal between Napoli and LFC for Darwin Núñez has been collapsed after they decided to go for some other striker. They have got a new No.9 option and now not in the plans to sign Núñez. However, the player is not in Slot’s plans and thus needs to leave. There are few Saudi clubs who are interested in the striker, but Núñez is waiting for some good offers within Europe.

Napoli have decided to walk away from a potential deal for Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez after identifying a different target to lead their line. The Serie A side had been exploring a move for the Uruguayan forward earlier this summer but have now shifted their focus to another No.9, effectively ending their interest in Núñez.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are also open to parting ways with Núñez, who is not part of new head coach Arne Slot’s long-term plans. The 25-year-old endured a frustrating 2023/24 season, struggling for consistency and often finding himself on the bench under former boss Jürgen Klopp.

Despite interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs, Núñez is currently holding out for a move within Europe. The striker, who arrived at Anfield in 2022 for a club-record fee from Benfica, still believes he can prove himself at the top level and is awaiting suitable offers from major European leagues.
