Real Madrid have suffered a setback as central midfielder Dani Ceballos has sustained an injury to his semimembranosus muscle, with tendon involvement in his left leg. This injury is expected to sideline the Spanish international for around two months, ruling him out of crucial fixtures, including both legs against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
Ceballos has struggled with injuries this season, limiting his contributions to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. While not a regular starter, his absence will further deplete Madrid’s midfield options, with key players like Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Toni Kroos expected to shoulder more responsibility.
Real Madrid will hope for a swift recovery as they push for success in La Liga and the Champions League.
