AC Milan are edging closer to securing the signing of Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, with negotiations between the two clubs gaining momentum. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, personal terms are not expected to be an issue as the Frenchman has already expressed his desire to join the Rossoneri.
Nkunku, who joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023, endured an injury-hit debut season at Stamford Bridge but remains highly regarded across Europe for his versatility and attacking flair. The 26-year-old has now set his sights on a move to Serie A, with AC Milan emerging as the frontrunner to secure his signature.
Talks over Nkunku’s contract with Milan are described as “well advanced,” signaling that the player’s side is fully aligned with the Italian giants. The major hurdle remains the agreement on a transfer fee, with Chelsea and Milan currently discussing terms.
Reports suggest the deal could exceed €30 million, as the Blues look to balance their squad and finances after another busy transfer window.
For Milan, Nkunku represents a statement signing as they aim to strengthen their attacking options and close the gap with Inter in the Serie A title race.
