Chelsea have finalized an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Paraguayan forward Julio Enciso in a deal worth €20 million including add-ons. The highly-rated 20-year-old will initially spend the 2025/26 season on loan at French side RC Strasbourg before making the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news with his trademark “Here We Go,” revealing that Enciso has already scheduled his medical tests in London for Thursday. The forward is set to sign a long-term deal with Chelsea running until June 2031, with the Blues also holding an option to extend the contract by a further year until 2032.
Enciso, regarded as one of South America’s most exciting young attacking talents, joined Brighton in 2022 and quickly impressed with his flair, pace, and eye for goal. However, recurring injury setbacks limited his impact in the Premier League, prompting Brighton to cash in on the player while Chelsea seized the opportunity to invest in his long-term potential.
