Chelsea have reaffirmed their full confidence in head coach Enzo Maresca despite the club’s recent struggles, insisting no managerial review will take place until the end of the season.
The Blues have suffered a string of defeats in recent weeks, sparking speculation over Maresca’s future. However, the Chelsea board has moved quickly to quash uncertainty, backing the Italian and stressing that they remain committed to their long-term project under him.
Maresca himself appeared calm when addressing concerns, underlining that the club hierarchy has not placed him under any pressure. “The reality is there is not any pressure,” Maresca said. “The club showed me the stats—in the last six months we lost five games, and four of them with red cards.”
The experienced coach also emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive environment for his squad during a challenging period. “We need to be positive because it’s what the players need… and there is no reason to be negative, at all,” he added.
