Real Madrid face 1-1 draw against Mallorca in the La Liga first game and it was not a good performance from the Champion side who won La Liga, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup last season. After the game, manager Carlo Ancelotti has spoken and addressed the actual mistakes their players did in the game. Manager was seemingly unhappy with Madrid’s performance in the first game and wants to see improvements in the further games.
Real Madrid began their La Liga campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Despite their impressive achievements last season—winning La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup—the defending champions struggled to find their rhythm in this opening match.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti did not mince words in his post-match assessment. He expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting several mistakes that contributed to the underwhelming result. Ancelotti emphasized that Real Madrid’s play lacked the intensity and precision seen in previous seasons. He pointed out defensive lapses and missed opportunities that allowed Mallorca to level the score.
The Italian coach stressed the need for immediate improvement and called for a more focused effort in upcoming games. “We lacked balance. I am not happy with the draw as I think we could have done better. We needed more attitude.”
