Amid increasing rumours of a move to North London, Bašanović made it clear that Sesko will not leave Leipzig unless very specific conditions are met.

“Sesko is not competing with anyone. We have a clear plan for the future and all media speculation doesn’t affect us,” said Bašanović. “Šeško is a special striker. He will leave Leipzig only if we recognise a special club and a special project with a special coach.”
