Aston Villa have reached a verbal agreement to sign striker Tammy Abraham from Turkish giants Beşiktaş, in what could become one of the Premier League club’s most eye-catching attacking additions of the summer window.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been agreed in principle following negotiations in Turkey involving Villa representatives Monchi and Vidagany, as well as Beşiktaş official Olabe. The transfer is now awaiting final signatures, with the process expected to be completed as soon as possible.
The agreement is reportedly worth around €21 million including add-ons, with Turkish goalkeeper Yasin Özcan set to be included as part of the overall deal between the two clubs. Personal terms between Abraham and Aston Villa were agreed days ago, with the England international fully committed to the move and now preparing for medical tests ahead of the official announcement.
Abraham’s return to English football will be a joy to watch for the Villa fans as they were desperately hoping for a scorer who can lead them to UCL next season. Unai Emery despite having Ollie Watkins in the team, wants another striker to get the variation going forward.
