Arsenal has officially signed 18-year-old goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax. The England youth international, who was born in the Netherlands, has been part of Ajax’s academy and has played for their Jong Ajax teams in recent seasons.

Arsenal’s Academy Manager, Per Mertesacker, welcomed Setford, praising his potential and outlining the plan to integrate him into the under-21s and first team training.

Setford expressed his excitement about joining Arsenal and mentioned his familiarity with teammates Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly from previous camps. He looks forward to learning and growing with the club.

The transfer is pending completion of regulatory processes.
