Arsenal Football Club has been in talks with Leicester City’s midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to recent reports. Tielemans’ current contract with Leicester is set to expire at the end of the current season, and Arsenal is said to be interested in signing him as a free agent.

Tielemans has been a key player for Leicester since joining the club in 2019 from AS Monaco. He has made 97 appearances for the Foxes, scoring 17 goals and providing 17 assists. The Belgian international has also been a standout performer in the Premier League this season, with five goals and four assests to his name.

Arsenal has been on the lookout for midfield reinforcements, and Tielemans’ technical ability and work rate have caught the attention of the club’s scouts.

However, Arsenal faces stiff competition for Tielemans’ signature, with other clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool also reportedly interested in signing the midfielder. Leicester is said to be keen on keeping hold of Tielemans, but the lure of playing for a bigger club could prove too tempting for the 25-year-old.

If Arsenal is able to secure Tielemans’ signature, it would be a major coup for the club. The midfielder’s ability to dictate the tempo of the game and create chances would add a new dimension to the Gunners’ midfield. Tielemans’ versatility would also give Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta more options in terms of his tactical approach.
