Alvaro Morata is expected to return back to Atletico Madrid as his loan spell is coming to an end with Juventus as per Fabrizio Romano. Morata left Atletico on loan and went to Italy back in 2020. As of now, no agreement has been made with Juventus and it looks like the buy option will not be triggered for Morata. Morata wants to be considered more important and hence he is ready to return to the Spanish capital. He could be in the plans of Diego Simeone for the upcoming 2022-23 La Liga season as Morata had a decent campaign in Serie A this season with Juventus.
For Juventus during the 2021-22 campaign, Morata had played a total of 35 matches in Serie A. He had scored 9 goals and had 7 assists to his name. As a whole, he had 12 goals and 9 assists out of all the competitions he had played for Juventus during the 2021-22 campaign.
The 29-year-old would help Atletico Madrid to become more efficient in attack. He will for sure be expected to bring back experience in the attacking unit as he had completed quite a decent spell back in Italy but participated and performed in various competitions. Atletico Madrid could either decide to sell him or they could have him in their plans for the upcoming season as it is all up to Diego Simeone to decide.
