Southampton had yet another loss in the Premier League and this time it was against Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea who are in brightest of their form. Chelsea won it by 5-1 as there were 5 different scorers for them. Disasi, Nkunku, Madueke in the first half and Cole Palmer along with Jadon Sancho in the second half had Chelsea take all three points home.
Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea continued their dazzling form with a resounding 5-1 victory over struggling Southampton in the Premier League. The Blues delivered a dominant performance at Stamford Bridge, showcasing their attacking depth with five different players finding the back of the net.
The onslaught began early, with Benoît Badiashile Disasi heading home to give Chelsea the lead. Christopher Nkunku followed up with a clinical finish, while Noni Madueke added a third before halftime, leaving Southampton reeling.
In the second half, Chelsea maintained their momentum. Cole Palmer slotted in a composed finish to make it four before Jadon Sancho sealed the rout with a stunning strike, marking his resurgence under Maresca. Southampton’s lone consolation came through a well-taken effort, but it was nowhere near enough to halt Chelsea’s rampant display.
