The Los Angeles Lakers have secured the signing of Ex-Clippers forward/center Montrezl Harrell on a two year contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The reliable journalist announced the news which came as a surprise for the NBA community.
Free agent Montrezl Harrell has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, agent Rich Paul of @KlutchSports tells ESPN.

Harrell entered into free agency this window and has joined city rivals LA Lakers on a deal worth $9.25 million the first year and $9.72 million the second, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
The move came as a shock to particularly Harrell’s ex-Clippers’ teammate Patrick Beverley, who expressed his disappointment on Twitter.

The NBA’s reigning Sixth man has probably come in as a replacement to Dwight Howard, who also to everyone’s surprise joined the Philadelphia Sixers on a 1 year deal. Howard entered free agency on the back of a championship winning campaign with the LA Lakers in 2019-20.
Lakers star LeBron James also responded to Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell joining the current champions on his Instagram story.
