The Net guard Kyrie Irving was fined $50,000 by NBA for partying and violating COVID-19 (health and safety) protocols.
The 28 year old American player has Missed last five games and was believed to be attending family functions and birthday parties without wearing a mask .
Reports claim that along with the fine will have to Charge over $800,000 in salary for the two Nets games he missed after attending the party.
NBA confirmed it’s decision on Friday to charge Nets guard Kyrie Irving $50,000 for violating its COVID-19 (health and safety) protocols. The NBA protocols banned players from attending indoor social gatherings of 15 or more people or entering bars, lounges, clubs.
The NBA revealed that Irving will have to spend maximum five days in quarantine although he tested negative for COVID-19.However, He has already missed two games during his quarantine, that means he has lost a reported $816,898 of his $33.5 million salary.
