To bolster the strong draft the Los Angeles Chargers put together back in April, the team now boasts two players named to a preseason All-Rookie Team by NFL.com.
Chad Reuter revealed his All-Rookie Team ahead of the 2024 season, and for the Chargers, their first-round pick and their third-round pick made the cut. On offense, No. 5 overall pick Joe Alt was selected as part of the offensive line, while former Michigan linebacker Junior Colson, who is poised to make a significant impact as a rookie, was chosen for the defensive team.
Alt and Colson were widely regarded as some of the best value picks in this draft class. However, many fans believe that second-round pick Ladd McConkey also deserves a spot on this list.

In defense of McConkey, this draft was particularly heavy with talented wide receivers. Reuter opted for Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Arizona Cardinals and Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs as his top receivers.
It will be interesting to see how this list holds up by season’s end. The Chargers did not have any players on NFL.com’s All-Rookie Team following the 2023 season, though Tuli Tuipolotu had a strong case for inclusion.
With Jim Harbaugh in his first year as the Chargers’ head coach, the team could have multiple players on the All-Rookie Team by the end of 2024.
