Indian women have again illuminated the name of their country. They have won a gold medal in the Compound Cadet Women. This is a team event that is currently going on in the World Archery Championships. Indian women team beat Turkey in the final of this event to win a gold medal for their country.
Indian women have never let the Indians down. Recently, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Indian Women hockey team has just missed a medal. But they showed a great mentality and fighting spirit in all the matches they played. Now, this Indian women archery team has proudly raised the chest of all Indians by winning the gold medal in the final match.
The finals of the Compound Cadet Women team event was played in Wroclaw (Poland). Turkey gave a very tough fight to the Indian team. But, they lost 228-216 to India. However, the scoreline says that the Turkey women team lost by a small margin and the game was tight.

The Indian team had women who performed very well in this finals to get the Indian team on the winning side. Parakeet Kaur, Priya Gurjar and Ridhi Varshini were the women who added another medal to India’s tally.
This Indian women team also made a new world record of getting 2067/2160 points in this match. They beat the old record of the USA team of 2045/2160 points.
