Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff has expressed how Mick Schumacher’s feedback in the F1 simulator provides a significant advantage to the team in their ongoing fightback.
Schumacher, who serves as a reserve driver for Mercedes after losing his race seat at Haas, has received praise from Lewis Hamilton and George Russell for his contribution in turning around the team’s performance during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.
Wolff lauded Schumacher’s maturity, success, and experience in Formula 1, emphasizing the tremendous advantage his feedback provides.
Additionally, Wolff expressed confidence in Schumacher’s ability to serve as a capable backup for Hamilton or Russell in case either of the regular drivers is unable to participate in a race.
However, Wolff stated his preference for Schumacher to have a permanent race seat, highlighting his desire to see him racing on a regular basis.
