Lewis Hamilton has expressed his support for peaceful protests and activists ahead of the upcoming Silverstone race.

Last year, members of the Just Stop Oil group trespassed onto the circuit, prompting a red flag for Zhou Guanyu’s accident. Seven individuals were subsequently arrested, and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali condemned their actions as dangerous.

Concerns have now arisen about potential repeat protests at Silverstone. While Hamilton backs the environmental cause, he emphasizes the importance of non-violent demonstrations.

He believes that protests can stimulate dialogue, ignite change, and raise crucial topics such as sustainability and inclusivity.

Hamilton hopes to avoid a recurrence of last year’s incidents and calls for a welcoming and inclusive space in the sport. He acknowledges that further progress is needed and expresses optimism for positive conversations and peaceful demonstrations.
