Formula 1 will continue with six Sprint weekends in the 2026 season, with the calendar seeing a mix of familiar venues and three new additions.
In 2025, Sprint races were held at Shanghai, Miami, Spa-Francorchamps, Austin, São Paulo and Lusail. For 2026, Shanghai and Miami remain, while the Sprint format expands to Canada, the Netherlands and Singapore for the first time. Silverstone also returns to hosting a Sprint after several years away.
The inclusion of Montreal marks the first-ever Sprint race at the Canadian Grand Prix, while Zandvoort and Marina Bay will also stage Sprint weekends for the first time, adding a new dimension to two of the most challenging circuits on the calendar.
