Verstappen dominated the race from start to finish, leading every lap to secure a lights-to-flag victory. However, Fernando Alonso faced a challenging start but managed to overtake Lewis Hamilton on the track to secure a podium position.
In a race that saw some unfortunate incidents, George Russell’s race was compromised early on when he clipped a wall, resulting in damage to his car. Unfortunately, Albon’s teammate, Logan Sargeant, experienced difficulties early in the race and was forced to retire due to a technical issue.
