Ousmane Dembélé grabbed attention on social media moments after helping Paris Saint-Germain F.C. book their place in the UEFA Champions League final with a dramatic semi-final victory over FC Bayern Munich.

The French winger scored PSG’s only goal in the 1-1 second-leg draw at Allianz Arena on Wednesday night. The result sealed a 6-5 aggregate win for the French giants and secured back-to-back Champions League final appearances for the club.

Soon after the final whistle, Dembele posted an old viral clip of Gavi on Instagram. In the video, the FC Barcelona midfielder says: “A lot of people think I don’t know how to play football, but they haven’t got the slightest f*cking clue.”

The post quickly went viral across social media platforms, with many fans interpreting it as Dembele’s response to criticism he has faced throughout his career regarding consistency and decision-making in big matches.

Dembele delivered when it mattered most for PSG. His goal gave the visitors a two-goal cushion in the tie and looked enough to comfortably finish the contest before Harry Kane scored a dramatic 93rd-minute equaliser on the night.

Despite Bayern’s late push, PSG held firm to progress to another European final as Dembele once again played a decisive role in the knockout stages.
