Georgia Voll has etched her name in Women’s Premier League (WPL) history, smashing the highest individual score ever with an unbeaten 99 off 56 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB-W). Her knock, including 17 boundaries and a six, propelled UP Warriorz Women (UP-W) to a commanding 225-run total. With this total UP Warriorz also broke the record for the highest team’s total in WPL history breaking DC-W’s previous record of 223 runs.

Despite Voll’s record-breaking feat, UP-W are already eliminated from the tournament as they sit at the bottom of the standings. However, the equation is far more crucial for RCB-W, who must chase down 226 runs to stay alive in the playoff race.

Voll’s record knock enters WPL’s top performances

RCB-W’s must-win chase

While Voll’s innings was historic, RCB-W’s fate now hangs in the balance. A successful run chase will keep their playoff hopes alive, but failure to do so could severely dent their chances.

RCB-W have currently scored 132 runs with the loss of 5 wickets with Richa Ghosh and Georgia Wareham currently at the strike. The chase looks tough for now but a turnaround can happen anytime in T20 cricket.
