The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took a firm stand on Monday, dispelling all speculations regarding internal discord within the Pakistan cricket team amidst their less-than-satisfactory performances in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023.

In a strongly worded statement, the PCB rejected recent rumors circulating in the media about a lack of harmony within the national cricket team. “Contrary to speculations, the PCB unequivocally assures that the team is cohesive, and there is no evidence to support these unsubstantiated claims,” the statement asserted.

Expressing disappointment over the spread of false news, the PCB emphasized the significance of upholding journalistic ethics and urged against the propagation of baseless allegations.

The clarification comes in response to earlier reports hinting at potential rifts among senior players following Pakistan’s loss against Australia. It is worth noting that this is not the first instance where reports of tension within the Pakistan team’s dressing room have surfaced.
