Cricket fans in India have reason to celebrate. Tickets for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 went live on Thursday (September 4) in a four-day pre-sale window — and they are the most affordable in ICC event history. Prices start as low as ₹100 (USD 1.14), making the tournament more accessible than ever.
To put this into perspective, the previous Women’s World Cup in 2022 saw ticket prices of NZD 7 for kids and NZD 17 for adults — approximately ₹350 (USD 4.45) for children and ₹850 (USD 10) for adults, over 8.5 times higher than the current pricing.
With less than a month to go until the opening clash between India and Sri Lanka on September 30 in Guwahati, fans have rushed to secure early access, reflecting the growing buzz around women’s cricket.
The 13th edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup will feature eight teams — India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England and South Africa. This edition also sees a significant prize-money boost, with the ICC allocating USD 13.88 million, nearly 4x the purse from the 2022 tournament (USD 3.5 million).
Affordable tickets + increased prize pool = a landmark moment for the women’s game.
