The upcoming 2024 Women’s Asia Cup T20 sees India and Pakistan lined up together in Group A. With the opening match on July 21 set to be a mouth-watering clash between two archenemies, everyone is already excited about it. In Dambulla, Sri Lanka, next year–from July 19 until 28.
Unlike the previous edition held in Bangladesh in 2022, where all seven teams played against each other in the league phase, this year sees the addition of an eighth team to the mix. Joining India, Pakistan, hosts Sri Lanka, and 2018 winners Bangladesh are Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, and UAE.
July 19 is opening day for the tournament–and will see both India–with a start against Nepal–and Pakistan in action, taking on UAE. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia.
The top two from each of the groups will move into the semi-finals, which will be played on July 26 initially, before having their climax at a grand finale two days later. After that: nothing.
The tournament programme coincides with the start of The Hundred 2024 on July 23.
