Match of controversies. A lots of controversial decisions which Indians will not agree. Be it debutant Suryakumar Yadav’s catch where ball was clearly seen touching the ground or Washington Sundar’s catch where the fielders one shoe was sracping the boundary ropes.
Lets go with what rules says, in both decisions on field umpire’s gave a soft signal of ‘OUT’. According to the Rules, if a on field umpire makes any soft signal, TV umpire should have enough evidence to overturn the on field umpire decision, which lacked in both cases today for India.
Cricket critic Harsha Bhogle tweeted his opinion on today’s decision. He mocked he umpire’s decision and wrote, “The reason an umpire has to give a soft signal is documented. On the replays, even clean catches look not out because it is a 2D image of a 3D event. Hence, umpires look at whether the fingers are under the ball. It is a grey area but tech has no answer for now. Need 3D cameras?” check out his tweet.
