West Indies makes surprising changes for the ICC T20 World Cup

The team for  West Indies’ participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will take place in Australia, has been announced. Some challenging players are rejected from the squad, while others make a persistent comeback.

Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles have been added back to the West Indies team for the next T20 World Cup in Australia. Yannic Cariah, an uncapped all-around legspin bowler who last competed in a T20 in 2016, has also been added as a surprise. The seasoned team of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine was passed over by the selectors. Lewis last competed in an international cricket match at the T20 World Cup in the UAE last year, and he has since been unable to make West Indies squads due to physical limitations.

West Indies squad for the T20 WC: Pooran (C), Rovman Powell, Yannic Cariah, Charles, Cottrell, Hetmyer, Holder, Akeal Hosein, Joseph, King, Evin Lewis, Mayers, McCoy, Raymon Reifer, Odean Smith.
