The series between India and South Africa begins on June 9 in Delhi with the first T20I. Cuttack, Vishakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bangalore will host the following four games on June 12, 14, 17, and 19, respectively. The series serves as a fantastic warm-up for both players ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia further this year.
“Whether Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli are there or not that Indian fighting spirit will still be there we don’t expect them to take it easy on us, we still expect it to be tough and we’ll be approaching it in that manner,” Temba Bavuma, the captain of the Proteas, made a statement prior of the T20I.
Because most key players have been rested following the two-month Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the squad will be led by star batsman KL Rahul, who will be backed by wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik have reunited to the Indian squad after a lengthy break, providing energy to the team.
The Proteas are prepared for the challenges and will give it their all to break India’s undefeated streak.
