The India vs Pakistan Super Four clash lit up in just the opening over as Abhishek Sharma smashed Shaheen Afridi’s very first ball for a six, sparking a heated verbal exchange between the two.

Shaheen went short on the leg side, and Abhishek swiveled into a pull shot. The top-edge flew over the keeper’s head, clearing the boundary ropes. As the ball sailed away, Shaheen and Abhishek exchanged sharp words in the middle, adding early spice to the high-octane clash.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time Abhishek went after Afridi. In the previous game between the two arch-rivals, the young left-hander had charged down the track to hit him straight down the ground for four. This time, he showed no hesitation in taking him on again, setting the tone for India’s chase of 172.
