The third day of the last Test Down Under became tricky when India were at 186 for six at Gabba. The youngsters who bailed India out of the riddle are Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar. Their 123 run-stand became the highest seventh-wicket partnership for India at Gabba in Brisbane.
Outstanding application and belief by @Sundarwashi5 and @imShard. This is what test cricket is all about. Washy top composure on debut and tula parat maanla re Thakur! 👏👌

“Outstanding application and belief by @Sundarwashi5 and @imShard . This is what test cricket is all about. Washy top composure on debut and tula parat maanla re Thakur,” Kohli tweeted.
The hosts posted a total of 369 in their first innings and India seemed on repeat mode as their resilience today mirrored the heroic partnership of Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari in the third match in Sydney.
Thakur’s 67 off 115 is the highest score for India in their first innings. Sundar got caught by Cameron Green while he was on 62.
Thakur and Sundar maintained the composure and showed no mercy on the Aussie bowlers. The cricket that the duo displayed today while taking on bowlers like Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon garnered them praises from the cricket fraternity.
Hazlewood is the pick for Australia as he took five wickets, Cummins and Starc took two each.
