India managed to win the unimportant third one-day international in the current series against Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s dominance in the series’ opening two games had already guaranteed their victory.
India’s outstanding 409-run innings was a significant factor, especially in light of the close proximity of the ICC World Cup 2023.

Ishan Kishan, the opening batsman for the Indian cricket team, made history by becoming the fourth Indian to score a double century in ODI cricket. In ODI cricket history, the opener scored a double century in the quickest time ever. Ishan needed just 126 balls to complete his double century. In his outstanding innings, he hit 24 boundaries and 10 sixes. Ishan Kishan scored 210 runs before being out in the 36th over by Taskin Ahmed. In the unimportant third and final game, India went on to defeat Bangladesh by a score of 227 runs.

Fellow top-order batsman Ishan Kishan may have garnered most of the attention for his outstanding individual performance, but former captain Virat Kohli produced an equally outstanding performance to surpass Australia great Ricky Ponting for the record for the most international centuries made. The 34-year-old batsman successfully transferred his excellent recent form from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to the 50-over format, scoring his first ODI century in more than three years.

With 100 international centuries, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar leads this list far and away. Kohli (72) and Ponting (71) are now holding on to second and third place, respectively.
