Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli keep on breaking the records these days. Now, he has another record to his name, the Indian star batsman now becomes the Asian captain who has the highest number of Test match victories in SENA countries which includes South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia as compared to other Asian team’s captain.
Virat Kohli’s led team won the fourth Test match on Monday against the English side played at The Oval. India is currently leading the five-Test match series by 2-1, which means India will not lose this Test match series like before when they were lost by 1-3 in 2018 in England. After clinching the victory on the last day, Virat Kohli’s men also became the team to beat England at The Oval cricket ground after 50 years. It was again a historic win for the Indian team after the Lord’s victory. It was a tremendous 157-run win for India. The whole team performed well especially opening batsman Rohit Sharma who scored 127 runs in the second innings and Shardul Thakur who helped India go past the score of 300. Shardul also performed well with the bowl as he got the main wicket of England captain Joe Root.
With this victory, the Indian captain registers himself as the Asian Captain who has beaten the SENA teams the most number of times. Virat Kohli and the team will be looking to have their hand even on the fifth and final Test which is to be held between 10th September and 14th September.
