Virat Kohli breaks his silence on the captaincy saga in Indian cricket team

“I was never communicated to reconsider my decision not to lead the T-20 games for the team. I was communicated about the decision of the five selectors one and half hour before the announcement of the test team which I accepted saying okay fine,” said Virat in a virtual press meet.

Virat Kohli breaks his long silence on the captaincy saga saying he was never communicated about the decision of the selection panel. He received this information through the selectors at the end of a call that he was attending for the selection of the test team with the selectors. It was just one and a half hours before the official announcement that he learns his removal as ODI’s captain.

He also says that he was never consulted about reconsidering captaincy in T-20 matches as the media reports say otherwise. Also, he is and was always available for the selection in the ODI’s cricket but the reports claim otherwise. He slams these reports and asked the journalists to ask them why did they write so in his virtual press conference.
