This Indian ex-player backs up KL Rahul, says “One or two failures won’t affect Rahul’s position in playing XI”

India will play Hong Kong in their second and last group league game of the Asia Cup today, providing KL Rahul with the ideal opportunity to regain his momentum. On the day of the game, there will likely be a high of 35°C, 45% humidity, and a wind speed of 16 km/h. Precipitation is not expected during the game.

However, according to former Indian batter Wasim Jaffer, the batter’s form is not cause for concern. KL Rahul is aware that Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid are on his side. Virat Kohli is not at his peak right now, thus India won’t take the chance of having him open the game.

Wasim Jaffer: “The way this team operates, we have been seeing it for the past year that the Indian team gives enough opportunities to every player. I personally don’t think we will see any changes. You will back the team you played against the big side. I don’t think one or two failures will make them drop KL Rahul or make any changes unless there’s an injury issue”.
